First Thing’s First…

Howdy,

Since this is my first entry here, (Hi!  Thanks for reading!  Nice shirt.) I shall start with a question I think about way too much.  This will give you an idea of what to expect.  But not really.  Ready?

What do you think Jesus’ blood looks like under a microscope?

Now, I am quite the Christian myself, but go ahead and be all analytical with me.  I do not think you have to follow my religious doctrines to join in the fun.

Assume that there is a body that is fathered by absolute power, and mothered by a woman.  What does that bring about?

There is the thought that the DNA could blind people with the shining whiteness that it might have.  How many times in The Bible are people told to look away or avert their eyes or something like that?  However, Jesus was a fairly approachable fellow from all accounts, so I cannot image that looking at a drop of his blood would blind you.

So what sort of things would we see?  Chromosomes come from both the parents.  Would the God-DNA try to overtake the human DNA?  My best guess is that Jesus still ate, bled, and digested just like any other human.  However he is the son of God.  How does blood form when you have those two mismatched sources tangling together?

And no, I do not want to clone Jesus.  (But if you want to read a really good comic book about that, you should check out “Punk Rock Jesus“.  Very dark, yet quite excellent.)

I ask these sort of questions at four in the morning.  Would the blood look human… or like something else?

Agree?  Disagree!  Throw out your own theory.  Play nice in the comments and we will all get along fine.  🙂
