At some point I will talk about other Seattle news. For now, let us discuss this:
If you do not have time to watch a video that is under two minutes- A: Wow. Your life must be a lot. B: Two guys went up the Space Needle, got outside, scaled the glass exterior, and with their parachutes on, jumped.
Combining incidents in 1974 and 1978, three people leapt off the Space Needle, but, sadly, none of them had parachutes. A few folks have jumped off the Needle with chutes, some officially sanctioned, some not. So yes, it is a rare occurrence, but it has happened before. (And yes, the Empire State Building engagement probably encouraged the two rapscallions to do some public base jumping.)
I am not a true crime junkie. Perhaps this has already been suggested. But hey, they were not wearing gloves. And that surface they climbed over? Glass. You see where I am going with this, right?
Getting to the fingerprints, admittedly, would be a bit of a challenge. However, as this whole event shows, there are people who get their jollies doing things like this. Some even flirt while they do it.
Come now fellows. Gloves. A domino mask. Something. At least make it a challenge.
Action enthusists can be such a pane.
