Option A: I could drive. Gas is expensive, parking is expensive, and I am a tree-hugger.
Option B: I could take the bus to the train to the bus. … That is a lot of being confined to small spaces, underground, with cranky people.
Option C: I could take one bus, then walk six miles. I could tell myself that I do not have to walk. I get to walk.

Commuter traffic is all well and good if you are out to beat the clock. Walking is better if you are trying to beat the stress. And the crowds.
